ABSA Cares provides life-changing programs for young athletes to represent America abroad while fostering cultural understanding and community service in 10+ destinations worldwide from Hawaii to The Dominican Republic to Australia and more.

Our History

ABSA Cares is a non-profit organization founded by Casey Flanagan and Kristina Sterling. The non-profit was born out of parent organization, American Based Sports Abroad (ABSA) which was established in 2014. ABSA is one of the fastest-growing travelball organizations in the country, and it has grown from a vision to a global movement empowering young athletes here in the United States and abroad!

2014: Foundation

Established with a mission to connect young athletes with international opportunities.

2015: Global Expansion

Extended programs to five countries across three continents.

2020: Milestone Achievement

Reached 10,000+ athletes served across programs in over 10 destinations worldwide.

2025: : ABSA Cares & Service Integration

Expanded community service components to all athletic travel programs and established ABSA Cares to provide financial opportunities to athletes across America.

Now, ABSA Cares is taking the spirit of ABSA to new heights! Our mission is to empower athletes through the provision of scholarships, financial support, and resources to help them elevate their athletic careers and support in their academic success.
